Christian Tamura, GIS Analyst, brings a robust foundation in spatial thinking and data analysis obtained through a diverse background spanning environmental science and a family history in telecommunications. At Light Source Communications (LSC), he supports dark fiber network management, with a focus on maintaining accurate and reliable network records that drive the planning, documentation, and operation of critical digital infrastructure.
Throughout his career in the geospatial sector, Christian has developed core competencies in enterprise GIS administration, spatial data management, web mapping, field workflows, and automation. His expertise bridges municipal, environmental, and telecommunications workflows, giving him a unique perspective on how broadband and fiber infrastructure connect and sustain modern communities.
Christian holds a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, both from the University of Central Arkansas, where he also competed as an NCAA Division I student-athlete. He is passionate about using spatial technology to improve data accuracy, streamline network operations, and help LSC make informed, data-driven decisions.
