Jon Bruckbauer – Vice President of Sales
How did you get into the fiber/telecoms industry?
I graduated college with an accounting degree, but during a senior-year internship, I realized accounting wasn’t for me. A high school friend who worked at a long-distance reseller called Teledial America let me know they were looking for help in their Carrier Access Billing System department, and he helped get me in the door.
How has the telecoms industry changed since you started?
So much has changed over the past 34 years. Back then, 56K circuits were considered fast. Today, we are looking at moving terabits of data over that exact same fiber.
What’s something unique about working for LSC?
The incredible level of experience everyone brings to the table. That collective background translates directly into a dedicated team capable of delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What was your first job, and what did you learn from it?
Picking blueberries at a local farm when I was 12 years old. I learned the value of hard work. We were paid piecemeal, and I managed to outwork some of the older folks.
If you could have dinner with any historical or famous figure, who would it be and why?
The easy answer is Jesus. Why? Because it would be incredible to learn firsthand what eternal life with Him truly means.
