Jeff Thornton, RVP Central Region, is a senior telecommunications and infrastructure executive with more than 30 years of experience leading large-scale fiber network deployments across the United States.
He brings deep expertise in long-haul and metro fiber programs, including right-of-way and ILA site development, permitting, construction, and operations. Jeff has led complex, carrier-grade infrastructure initiatives across both the owner and delivery sides, with a strong background in outside plant (OSP) construction, field operations, and mission-critical network systems.
Prior to joining Light Source Communications, Jeff served as Regional Vice President of Operations at Zayo Group, where he oversaw OSP, ISP, and field operations across the Southeast. He has also held senior leadership roles at Bresnan Communications and Level 3 Communications, and began his career in electric utility communications with PacifiCorp.
Jeff is a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of the Navy’s Advanced Electronics Program.
