LSC Named First Network Provider at Edged Phoenix in Mesa, Arizona.

Edged has named Light Source Communications (LSC) as the first network provider to build into the company’s newest ultra-efficient data center in Mesa, Arizona.

The innovative facility is designed for high-performance compute and features advanced waterless cooling and energy-efficient systems, all strategically located less than 25 miles from downtown Phoenix. The partnership with LSC was announced during a “topping out” event Edged held for the facility, a critical milestone marking the completion of the building’s structural framework.

“In celebrating today’s topping out event, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to safety—ensuring every step of our build meets the highest standards for our team and our community,” said Bryant Farland, CEO of Edged. “We also celebrate another major milestone as we welcome Light Source Communications into our Mesa data center as our first network provider. This is a significant leap forward in building a robust connectivity ecosystem and creating the secure, high-performance environment our customers need to power the next generation of heavy compute.”

Thanks to its state-of-the-art ThermalWorks waterless cooling system, Edged Phoenix will be one of the most water-efficient data centers in the region. The system supports densities of up to 70 kW per rack with air cooling and 200 kW per rack with plug-and-play liquid cooling integration. Edged Phoenix is expected to be fully operational late this year.

“We’re excited to welcome Edged onto our Phoenix-area route. Their new facility is aligned with our strategy of supporting the AI and other high-performance computing needs of hyperscalers and enterprises in the metro area,” said Debra Freitas, CEO of LSC. “We are committed to meeting the significant connectivity demands of today’s businesses. This advanced Edged facility goes hand-in-hand with the state-of-the-art network we are building, which is one of the largest fiber builds of its kind.”
